YSEALI Environmental Field Trip 2017

On June 10, U.S. Embassy Bangkok invited 42 YSEALI members and alumni to participate in the YSEALI Environmental Field Trip to help a local community restore and conserve a coastal mangrove forest. A group of energetic youth traveled to Prasae, a seaside district in Rayong Province, to talk to local leaders about measures taken to cope with some environmental challenges and helped the community plant 100 mangrove trees in the area. In addition, this group of YSEALI members also visited the Wang Chan Reforestation Project to discuss the effects of deforestation in Thailand and solutions for those problems with experts at this conservation site.
