U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai Celebrates 247th Independence Day of United States
Chargé d’affaires Gwen Cardno and Consul General Lisa Buzenas hosted U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai’s Independence Day celebration on June 15, which was attended by our counterparts, colleagues, and friends, including guests from all 15 provinces in our consular district. Attendees enjoyed our interactive “Texas State Fair” theme, which highlighted the innovation, culture, food, and fun of Texas. We also showcased U.S. universities and cultural sites through 360-dgree virtual reality tours, and highlighted the origins of Juneteenth – another U.S. holiday celebrating the end of slavery in all states – in Galveston, Texas.
