Message for U.S. Citizens: U.S. Embassy and Consulate General Chiang Mai Holiday Schedule

The U.S. Embassy in Bangkok and the U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai will close at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 24. We will be closed on Friday, December 25; Thursday, December 31; and Friday, January 1 in honor of Thai and American holidays.

Outside of normal business hours, U.S. citizens in need of emergency assistance can call the Embassy switchboard at 011-66-2-205-4000 from outside of Thailand, or 02-205-4000 within Thailand, and request to speak with the “Duty Officer.”

U.S. citizens in the Chiang Mai consular district (Northern Thailand) can call the Consulate’s Duty Officer at 011-66-81-881-1878 from outside of Thailand, or 081-881-1878 within Thailand.
