Acting Consul General Henry V. Jardine and Chiang Mai University’s Associate Dean, Faculty of Law Ms.Kanya Hirunwattanapong joined Mplus Foundation and Chiang Mai’s LGBTIQ community to give a speech at “Love for All” event at the Chiang Mai University Art Center. The event is sponsored and organized by the U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai, Mplus, Chiang Mai Art University Center and the U.S. Embassy Bangkok to celebrate #PrideMonth, featured a theatrical play “Love for All”, followed by a panel discussion about same-sex marriage where Mr. David Whitted, Deputy Spokesperson/ Assistant Information Officer from U.S. Embassy Bangkok shared his experience having civil partnership. Last, the event featured film screening “Gayby Baby”. The U.S. Consulate in Chiang Mai proudly supports equality in diversity and believes in the equality & dignity of all persons, regardless of the sexual orientation or gender identity.
