Acting Consul General, Henry V. Jardine, was invited to speak at the Opening Ceremonies of a “Kids Making Sense” workshop at the Doi Suthep Nature Study Center on June 24. He thanked the National Science Museum, Chiang Mai University, the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration, and our U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for collaborating on this great program and encouraged the students to look for ways to use the information they learn in the workshop to better understand and tackle the air pollution challenge in northern Thailand. More than 30 students participated in the full-day workshop, where they learned about particulate matter (PM) and air quality, learned how to measure PM pollution, and practiced analyzing the data they collect.
