“Kids Making Sense” Workshop in Bangkok

On June 21-22, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency partnered with Taiwan’s Environmental Protection Administration and Thailand’s National Science Museum to organize an air-pollution-monitoring workshop for Thai students. The “Kids Making Sense” workshop was led by both American and Taiwanese high-schoolers who instructed the Thai students how to use handheld sensors, interpret and share data via a mobile app, identify local sources of air pollution, and empowered them to drive positive environmental change in their communities. This is the first time the “Kids Making Sense” workshop has been organized outside of the United States or Taiwan.
