Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI) Nexus Futures Program

The goal of the LMI Nexus Futures Program is to advance sustainable economic development, strengthen regional integration, and build resiliency to the impacts of climate change in the Lower Mekong countries by strengthening regional discussions (preferably within country-recognized/supported processes) to advance integrated planning and development (focused on the water, energy, food and environment nexus) for the 3S sub-basin. One cooperative agreement all not to exceed $473,000 U.S. Dollars (USD) will be awarded for the implementation of this project.
Eligibility for this NOFO is limited to: educational and research institutions, public international organizations, U.S. not-for-profit/non-governmental organizations (NGOs) subject to section 501 (c) (3) of the U.S. tax code, and foreign not-for- profit organizations.
Ideal NOFO applicants will demonstrate an expert level of understanding of, and capability in, process facilitation, transboundary water cooperation and environmental governance, conflict mitigation, mediation, decision sciences, climate change adaptation, political economy analysis, diplomacy, international development, nexus planning, and stakeholder engagement.
