The U.S. Embassy in Bangkok has a requirement for Worldwide Group Travel Insurance Services (Health and accident), either Single or Annual trips including travel insurance certificate to each qualified traveler of the Embassy Local staff member. The travel insurance must provide minimum coverage on Medical and Death of at least 4,000,000 Baht as follows:-

Note: The travel insurance company must be accepted by the Embassies of the Schengen Countries in Bangkok.

SERVICE USED: All round trip official travel from Thailand, funded by U.S. Government. This includes Invitational traveler(s) whose trip begins from Thailand and returns to Thailand. Minimum travel insurance single plans and annual plans are 100 trips and 5 trips, respectively.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The contract will be for a one year period from the date of the award. Approximately it will be from 18 May 2019 to 17 May 2020.

There are two coverage plans:

  1. Single trip – at maximum length of trip = 30 days.
  2. Annual trip – multiple trips in one year at maximum length/trip = 120 days.

After travelers’ names, traveling period, and destination information is submitted to the company; the contractor has to acknowledge the information and issue an individual certificate mentioned insurance policy number, traveler’s name, covered benefits, and covered travelling period within 24 hrs.

Note:

  • Minimum travel insurance single plans and annual plans are 100 trips and 5 trips, respectively.
  • Maximum travel insurance single plans and annual plans are 450 trips and 50 trips, respectively.

The Contractor shall provide group travel insurance services to the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand. The Embassy will pay the Contractor on a monthly basis for standard services that have been satisfactorily performed. Anticipated performance is for a base period of twelve months. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered.
