A new exhibit, “Crossing the Dateline” opened at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC) on Thursday, March 23. The exhibit features nine contemporary artists who met while studying at the University of California Davis. The lead American artist is Carol Hopper, a sculptor whose work has been featured in the Guggenheim Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Thai artists include Pitiwat Somthai, Pasut Kranrattanasuit, Suparirk Kanitwaranun, Komsan Nookiew, Panu Suaysuwan, M.L. Bussayamas Nandawan, and Vanida Pornsombatpaiboon. The exhibit is on display through June 4, 2017. The exhibit celebrates a global conversation among artists across cultures and disciplines.
