On November 14-16, the EducationUSA Thailand team travelled to Khon Kaen and Maha Sarakham provinces. In Khon Kaen, the team conducted a presentation for high school students at Kanlayanawat School on the U.S. scholarship application process. The team also organized a workshop for more than 20 high school counselors in the Northeastern region at the American Corner Maha Sarakham, Maha Sarakham University. The counselors were welcomed by U.S. Embassy Cultural Attaché Neal Murata via video conference. High school counselors from Maha Sarakham, Khon Kaen, Roi Et, Mukdahan, and Nakhon Phanom provinces learned about the admission process from a representative from the University of San Francisco and EducationUSA advisers. A member of the U.S. Embassy consular staff joined the workshop via Skype presenting information on the student visa application process. A Q&A session followed.
