A Celebration of U.S. Education in the American Hub

On January 19, Ambassador Glyn Davies attended a celebration of U.S. education in the Embassy’s brand-new American Hub on the 9th Floor of the GPF Wireless Building in Bangkok. He recognized the winners of the “Discovering Thailand’s Astronaut” Scholarship Competition (Khun Teeramet Kunpittaya and Khun Chayanis Opassereepadung), the 2016 National Spelling Bee winners (Khun Chaichan Kamkom), as well as several EducationUSA advisees, who will be attending institutions of higher learning in the United States this coming fall. For our Space Camp winners, the Embassy will provide scholarships to attend the 10-day U.S. Space Camp program in Huntsville, Alabama. The Embassy also provides scholarships to our Spelling Bee winners for six-week English-language courses in the United States. The U.S. Embassy is proud to support educational opportunities for Thai students, and wishes our winners and advisees the best of luck!
