On August 19, 2016 Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) Pathumwan District and Department of Environment representatives provided the U.S. Embassy with color-coded recycling bins as part of the Bangkok Eco-Capitals Forum’s “Environment Performance and Sustainability Pledge.” The Pledge, signed earlier in June, promotes cooperation between the BMA and 17 embassies and international organization in Bangkok. The recycling initiative is one of a several activities that the Eco-Capitals Forum participants will undertake to promote sustainability and the environment. The new recycling bins will be placed in U.S. Embassy office buildings and at all official residences.
