On August 26, Chargé d’Affaires Peter Haymond launched the American Burger Festival Episode 2 at the American Food, Fun, and Family Fair at Central World. The event kicked off with The “Great American Burger Competition 2016” sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture attracted thousands of hungry people at CentralWorld eager to sample burgers, snacks, ice cream, fresh fruit and craft beer – all imported from the United States. The competition, part of “American Food, Fun, and Family Fair – American Burger Festival Episode 2”, included ten chefs from restaurants in Bangkok. The chefs produced a signature burger using U.S. beef, California cheese, U.S. potatoes and Washington apples. The dishes were judged by professional chefs, with awards for creative use of the ingredients.
25 Degrees Bangkok took top honors in the “Great American Burger Competition 2016″ at the American Food, Fun, and Family Fair. The fair runs through Sunday, August 28 at Central World. In addition to the restaurants, there are importers of U.S. food products with stands selling snacks, ice cream, fresh fruit, nuts, and craft beer. There are also 50 private Thai companies participating in this popular event.
